  Air Flow Alarm Unit

• Audible and visual warning

• Continuous operation

• Compact design

Designed for use in ducting and fume hood applications to ensure adequate face velocity. This device activates both an audible and visible warning when airflow falls below the OSHA standard of 100 fpm - indicating an inoperative blower, blocked filters or improper balancing. This device runs continuously from the AC supply using a wall mounted transformer. A Velcro™ backing and mating self adhesive pad allow the unit to be mounted either on the wall or base of the hood. An LED indicator lamp indicates presence of power to the unit. A test button is provided to confirm both audible and visual alarm operation and a switch allows you to enable or disable the audible alarm. Alarms for a variety of different face velocities are available upon request.

  Blocked Filter Alarm

Loss of efficiency due to blocked filter may prevent adequate face velocities from being achieved. The BF-1 Blocked Filter Alarm monitors the pressure drop across a HEPA Filter and provides a visual indication when the filter is 75% blocked and due for replacement. This option is mounted inside the blower housing and must be ordered with the blower or the blower unit must be returned for retrofitting.

  Stainless Steel Cart

When portability is required we offer a heavy duty utility cart capable of holding up to 400 lbs. Stainless steel gives years of sanitary, trouble-free service. Shelves are electronically welded and have hemmed edges. Padding under shelves deadens vibration. Protective bumpers.

  Outside Vent Adapter Kit

If your application requires exhausting of the filtered air to the outside or into a duct system, our outside vent adapter kit makes it easy. A simple conversion to the blower unit provides for conversion to a standard 10" x 3 1/4" flange which then can be adapted to almost any size ductwork. A 5" diameter adapter is included. Please specify if your requirements is different.










  Fluorescent Light Kit

When natural light is inadequate we can supply a light mounted outside the enclosure. The light kit is made from white acrylic with a fluorescent fixture mounted inside.

  Polyethylene Work Surface

When there is not an appropriate work surface already in your lab, a white 1/2" polyethylene (HDPE) textured work surface can be added to the base of any of our containment hoods*

*RF-1000 tabletop clean room is supplied with 1/2" polyethylene base.

  Flexible PVC Hose

Our standard hose is highly flexible and abrasion resistant and it measures 5" inside diameter. We can provide the PVC hose in any length to suit your application (standard length provided with unit is 5 feet). Other hose materials available. Please contact us to discuss your application .

  Vinyl & Polycarbonate Door Panels

Vinyl door panels are made of a heavy gauge fire retardant material which is highly flexible and optically clear. They are provided with a Velcro™ edging for attaching to containment hood.

Clear polycarbonate door panels are available for improved clarity and strength. They can be provided with Velcro™ or hinged for greater convenience.


  Wall Mount Kits

The wall mount kit consists of two heavy duty steel brackets and two rubber cushions which come factory mounted to the rear of your blower assembly. Mounting of the supplied wall brackets is required.
